[Sparks, Nevada] — [May 12, 2025] — NevadaNano, a leader in emissions monitoring technology, today announced the successful results of its MethaneTrack™ system, evaluated through a third-party test conducted under the NGIF Emissions Testing Centre Program. The study, held at Tourmaline Oil’s West Wolf Lake Gas Plant in Alberta, Canada, confirmed the effectiveness of MethaneTrack™ for detecting methane emissions in real-world oil and gas operations.
The test, which ran from January 1 through March 15, 2025, focused on assessing MethaneTrack’s ability to detect both short-duration intermittent and longer-duration methane releases. The results demonstrated that the system could reliably detect and pinpoint the exact source of emissions, offering a significant improvement over traditional monitoring technologies.
Key Findings:
- Accurate Detection: MethaneTrack™ Endpoints effectively pinpointed the exact source of methane emissions, offering significant improvements over traditional monitoring systems that often identify multiple potential sources.
- Continuous Monitoring: The system performed reliably in harsh environmental conditions, including extreme cold, and demonstrated ease of installation and operation.
- Leak Source Isolation™ (LSI): MethaneTrack™ provided real-time leak location, allowing operators to prioritize emissions reduction efforts efficiently.
“We’re excited by the validation of MethaneTrack™ in this independent third-party field testing conducted under the NGIF Emissions Testing Centre (ETC) program,” said Ian Rogoff, CEO at NevadaNano. “The results confirm that our system not only meets the stringent requirements of the oil and gas industry but also outperforms other monitoring technologies in improving operational efficiency related to mitigating methane emissions.”
