Emerson Integrates NevadaNano’s MPS™ 6.0 Technology Into Rosemount™ 928 Wireless Gas Monitor

Emerson Integrates NevadaNano MPS Technology

Ultra-low-power MPS™ technology enables accurate fixed gas detection of hydrocarbons and hydrogen in remote and hazardous locations

RENO, Nev., Oct. 5, 2026 — NevadaNano, a leader in advanced gas-sensing technology, today announced that Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has integrated NevadaNano’s Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™) 6.0 technology into the Rosemount™ 628MP Combustible Gas Sensor for use with the Rosemount™ 928 Wireless Gas Monitor.

The strategic relationship brings together Emerson’s expertise in industrial automation and wireless monitoring with NevadaNano’s advanced flammable gas-sensing technology. It also builds on Emerson’s investment in NevadaNano through Emerson Ventures and reflects the companies’ shared commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality technologies for demanding industrial safety applications.

“Emerson has built its reputation by delivering dependable technologies that customers trust in critical industrial environments,” said Ian Rogoff, CEO of NevadaNano. “The integration of MPS™ 6.0 technology into the Rosemount™ wireless gas monitoring platform is an important validation of the quality, reliability and performance of our technology. Together, we are making accurate combustible gas detection easier to deploy in remote and hazardous locations where traditional wired monitoring may be difficult or costly.”

Ultra-Low Power for Wireless Fixed Gas Detection

Consuming just 1.35 mW of power, MPS™ 6.0 is designed for battery-powered gas detection systems where long operating life and dependable performance are essential. The technology detects hydrocarbons and hydrogen, classifies the gas present and automatically applies the appropriate response to provide accurate lower explosive limit measurements across a broad range of flammable gases.

MPS™ 6.0 requires no field calibration and is highly resistant to poisoning and saturation. Built-in self-testing continuously verifies sensor operation, while environmental compensation supports stable performance across changes in temperature, humidity and pressure.

The underlying MPS™ 6.0 sensor is designed for a 15-year operating life. Emerson specifies a sensor life of more than 10 years for the completed Rosemount™ 628MP Combustible Gas Sensor, helping reduce maintenance requirements and total cost of ownership for users of the Rosemount™ 928 Wireless Gas Monitor.

Under the companies’ agreement, Emerson has exclusive use of NevadaNano’s MPS™ 6.0 Flammable Gas Sensor for industrial fixed gas detection applications requiring Zone 0 intrinsic safety certification.

Extending Combustible Gas Detection to More Locations

The Rosemount™ 928 Wireless Gas Monitor provides continuous monitoring and alerts for combustible and toxic gas leaks without the wiring, conduit or complex installation associated with conventional wired devices. WirelessHART® connectivity helps operators extend fixed gas detection to remote, difficult-to-access and hazardous areas while reducing installation time and cost.

The intrinsically safe Rosemount™ 628MP is a hot-swappable, tool-free sensor module that can be replaced in the field in minutes. Combined with the Rosemount™ 928’s replaceable power module and secure WirelessHART® connectivity, the design helps maintain gas-detection coverage while minimizing interruptions to operations.

The Rosemount™ 928 is suited for fixed gas detection across offshore oil and gas operations, downstream facilities, chemical processing sites and hydrogen production, storage and infrastructure. Other applications include well pads, compressor stations, LNG facilities, tank farms, loading and offloading operations and floating production, storage and offloading units.

NevadaNano and Emerson will continue working together to support the successful application of MPS™ technology within the Rosemount™ wireless gas monitoring portfolio and deliver long-term value to industrial customers.
